InventoryNow Features...
Below are some of the main features of our InventoryNow product. As we develop
more add in modules for InventoryNow like the ones listed here,
this list of features will grow to encompass the added functionality of those modules.
- Gathers specific information about hardware components such as processors, RAM, hard drives, video cards, installed printers, CD/DVD drives, etc.
- Keeps a continually updated record of all client computers being inventoried
- Interactive interface displays information gathered in a neatly formatted manner and allows network administrators to select what information is to be viewed
- Interface allows for collected client computer data to be easily accessed from one central location
- Interface displays current database usage in accordance with purchased licenses
- Watch functionality allows for specific data such as processor usage or memory usage to be tracked over time
- Interface graphs Watch data so that data patterns can be clearly seen
- Computer information and Watch data can be used to troubleshoot client computers
- Network deployment through active directory allows for easy installation on client machines
- Uses Microsoft SQL Server as the database engine
- Client-server based communication
- Client and server services run invisible to client machine users and does not affect computer's performance
- Completely software based so no additional hardware is needed
- Currently only available for Windows based computers
